Hi all,

I just did a first test run of the current FTb I've fixed, and the winding sounds strange. There's a definitive harder point at about half way, and the film winding makes strange noises.

I did not develop yet (planned for this evening, I'm impatient to see the first results) but I'd appreciate some feedback on this.

If you had an audio recording of an FTb winding it could also be useful.

After unloading the film, I can also add that rewinding is incredibly hard, and some holes feel damaged at touch.

I also tried a "dummy" film, and found winding begins to be very hard after 8 frames, and rewinding is again very hard. I guess I'll have to check the manual to find some information about the take-up spool and the way it should be working...

Edit: after developping, I can see the inter-frames space is WAAAAAAAYYYYY too large, the 3 first ones are more or less OK and then there's 1 cm or more between frames... Looks like the takeup spool tries to take up much more than the sprocket delivers... have to check whether it should 'slip' somewhat during winding!
