is "60% ammonium thiosulfate solution anything like the fertiliser known here as "Urea"?

No, it's not, but there's a liquid fertiliser that is 60% ammonium thiosulfate.

EDIT: It's a 12-0-0 26S liquid fertiliser. Any shops specialising in fertigation will likely stock it.
 
Here in Germany I did not even found it listed in textbooks covering fertilizers. And I only learned about its use as fertilizer here at Apug.
 
While Ammonium Thiosulfate contains Nitrogen and can smell like Ammonia, it is quite a different compound from Urea, another popular Nitrogen fertilizer but not a fixer.
