Hi all,

We run photographic tours of Ireland and recently we were asked to add an additional week to our existing schedule, the dates are 12th-18th August. As these dates were specially requested the tour has not been advertised, so we have some places available.

It is what we call our “Eastern Promise” tour and we have a maximum of 6 places remaining on the tour. This tour concentrates on the East and Southeast of Ireland, so often overlooked. It will include Wicklow (Mountains, lakes and monastic settlements) Kilkenny (Norman town, Castles, Abbeys), Waterford (Landscapes, Waterfall, Castle), Wexford (Seascapes, Lighthouse), Dublin (City and environs).

Our pricing is based on single rooms (no surcharge) with a discount for those wanting to share a room. We only use top quality hotels, after a day shooting we all deserve a little luxury  .

There will, as always, be two local tour guides on the tour to enable greater flexibility. Please note that this is a photographic tour, we do not cater for those looking for a tourist trail tour. Our emphasis is providing shooting locations and affording our group members the time to shoot at their leisure.

If any APUG members are interested in joining this tour (or any other for that matter), please PM/Email me or check out our website by clicking Dead Link Removed for further details. I'm sure we could take the opportunity to meet some Irish APUGgers for a chat and a pint.

For those of you who have NOT been to Ireland, this sounds like a great tour. Plenty of good views in one of the most photogenic countries on earth, understanding organizers and operators, great selection of sites, etc. Best of all, the Irish APUGgers are a good group to know!

Hi David,

Sounds interesting, I will keep it in mind and maybe I can meet up with the tour for one of the days, possibly in Wicklow.

You have picked some great locations for photographing.
