Hi all,

I've a very specific issues, so anyone with experience shooting mamiya RZs/digital backs would be most useful here.

I usually shoot long exposure (film/digital) on my RZ67pro2 with adapter plate to an IQ260. I use a two shot cable with normal latency on the back to fire (saves battery on long exposures). This works via the leaf shutter lens pc port, the procedure is a few buttons but it works for me and allows me to switch from film to digital quite smoothly.

I've recently had a 3d pinhole cap printed for my RZ, which I appreciate might seem ridiculous to some, but...my issue is the firing process with the digital back as there's no lens (pc port). I've managed to figure out a process in normal latency similar to shooting long exposure with a lens on - mirror up, wake up the back, use my 5d PC port (via two shot wake up cable) to send a signal to the IQ260 to think it's fired to start the exposure, leave for exposure time, click the wake up to start the dark slide. This works, the 5d is just sending a pulse to via the two shot in place of the lens. However, a 5d is a bit cumbersome to carry around!

Does anyone have any suggestions of a small, robust solution that I can use to send a pulse to trigger the back into thinking the lens has fired. It needs a PC female port and the ability to send a trigger at my command. I've been looking at various hotshoe, or flash triggers but don't want to spend much, plus most don't come with a tester button which I assume would allow me to send the pulse required at will. It's a very simple and I'm sure, widely available solution but I want to ensure I get something that's trustworthy and ideally small!

Hope that makes sense?!?!
