Well, I'm not sure if I should post this at all, but here goes. My daughter's sole entry into the Iowa State Fair photo contest was selected for exhibit. Woo hoo! For those who don't know, the fair exhibits only 600 or so photos from the thousands of entries it receives, so this is a pretty special honor.
The kicker is that it's a digital. Sheesh. I shoulda taught her right... but then again...
She is FIVE. Five years old.
If I had THAT good an eye for color and composition when I was 5 I'd be the next Ansel Adams by now.
Me? I stunk it up. Not a single one of my 3 film-shot images was selected. I wonder if digital has an advantage now, in that that's what people "expect" a photo to look like. All that yucky stuff like grain is for losers!

Anyhoo. Proud papa here.
