Welcome! Whereabouts in Texas? I've extensively photographed El Paso area, Hueco Tanks, Guadalupe mountains, etc. Love western Texas.
I'm originally from the Piney Woods, and that is still probably my favorite place in the world to photograph. I'm currently based in the Crosstimbers area.

There is definitely a lot of similarities between Texas and Alberta. I was lucky to spend 3 weeks in Houston and area in the 1980s and really enjoyed my time there.

Those shots bring back some memories. Spent a lot of time there in the 80s.My wife and I lived in Houston for 5 years in the early '80s. Those were our young and formative years. Some examples from those long ago years:
Howdy from a former Texas denizen. I used to own a small ranch between Pflugerville and Hutto (Cele), my sister lives in Temple and a daughter in Belton.
