Howdy y'all!

I'm getting back into analog photography after setting up a darkroom in 2020.

I prefer shooting medium format, and really like 6x9.

The Film Developing Cookbook mentioned this site, so I came to check it out.

Welcome! Whereabouts in Texas? I've extensively photographed El Paso area, Hueco Tanks, Guadalupe mountains, etc. Love western Texas.

I'm originally from the Piney Woods, and that is still probably my favorite place in the world to photograph. I'm currently based in the Crosstimbers area.

Got post oaks?

I’m actually from the Arklatex, so know that physiographic region pretty well…agree that it has a special character, though venturing too far off the beaten path will get you into some boogery situations at times.

Howdy from a former Texas denizen. I used to own a small ranch between Pflugerville and Hutto (Cele), my sister lives in Temple and a daughter in Belton.

Welcome from the Canadian prairies

We do like to think of ourselves as the Alberta of the South (Ok, not really, but we might really hold that Alberta is the Texas of Canada).

There is definitely a lot of similarities between Texas and Alberta. I was lucky to spend 3 weeks in Houston and area in the 1980s and really enjoyed my time there.

Winter temperature is not one of them.

My wife and I lived in Houston for 5 years in the early '80s. Those were our young and formative years. Some examples from those long ago years:
Those shots bring back some memories. Spent a lot of time there in the 80s.

The middle of the state is great.
