Hi all!
We just signed up to advertise here on Photrio, so I thought I'd introduce our little lab here.
Earlier this year I opened Northeast Photographic, a small film processing and scanning lab in Portland Maine. We are currently set up to handle C41, E6, & B&W film in formats from 35mm to 4x5. We specialize in the develop to scan workflow, so no traditional small prints. Our workflow is not too dissimilar from the original Kodak model. You shoot a roll of film, mail it to us, and soon after you will receive a dropbox link full of high resolution scans of your film. (Ok, pretty different from the old Kodak model, but I'm sure you see what I mean!). Your film is then cut & sleeved and either returned directly to you, or more often stored in our files until you amass enough to fill a large envelope, thus reducing your shipping costs. We pride ourselves on offering affordable full roll scanning, and very high quality files. One of our goals is to keep film alive and accessible to all photographers who choose the analog workflow! Our clients range from wedding photographers who send in hundreds of rolls a season, to students just learning about the craft.
We also have some speciality high-res scanning services for fine art printing, which are ordered frame by frame.
You can read all about our services here: Dead Link Removed
Let me know if you have any questions about services in the comments!
P.S. We are specifically looking to expand interest in our E6 services. Keeping that line open is important to us, but we can only do it if we have more interest from users!
Thanks!
