Welcome and I'd go straight for an F100 if I were in your shoes. It'll save an upgrade later and the form is very much similar to modern DSLRs so easy to transition back and forth.
I second the advice of just getting a decent film body (such as a N80 or a FM2n) and a decent lens (35 or 50 mm probably) and then just start shooting the streets.
He already has a 50 AF-S G, and an AF-S equivalent 70-300 Tamron. So an FM2n is not a good choice.
One would of course assume the F5 and F6 are not in consideration price/size wise, but both would work for the purposes. I still stick to recommending either the F75, F80 or F100. One of them will be perfect.
Well it took about 9 months for me to produce something but did it anyways. This is my first roll of film developed just yet.
This was shot with Nikon F80 on Fujifilm Neopan 100 Acros Black and White Negative Film. Nikkor 50mm 1.8 G lens was used. I think shutter speed was about 400. Did some straightening in the post nothing much other than that. Please let me know what you think.

looks like you are on the right track !
i like the composition and how you have the frame broken up.
and i am sure others will tell you to crop out the line at the top,
but i think it is nice how it leads the eye across the image ...
