After reading a thread in which several posters mentioned being photo teachers, I thought it would be nice to have a place to share "stuff" like assignment ideas, dealing with students, dealing with teaching film in an increasingly d- world, etc.

I not only love working with film, but sometimes have the opportunity to teach others as a sessional instructor in the Faculty of Education at the Univ. of Victoria. One of the surprising things I noticed first back in high school when I was president of the photography club and then again as a university teacher was that not everyone taking a photography class is as passionate about it as I am. I now realise that many if not most take a course out of some interest, etc., but not with the same passion and dedication - an interesting revelation and there is nothing wrong with that, it was just an interesting observation. I don't know, does anybody else share a similar understanding of photographic andragogy?
