I wonder if the magnets hold the back on better than the previous version...Maybe the bail back helps prevent the back from separating a little better?

I have the v4, and the magnets seem working fine to keep the back on. There are also two small half-moon wheels to lock the back.

I upgraded the back from spring back to bail back (bail back came after I bought the v4), and indeed the bail back makes inserting and removing film holders a breeze. So there is even less need for stronger magnets.
