Evidently the resurgence is not among people who actually buy much film, or we would not see Kodak products being cut left and right on a six month schedule. These people need to buy more film, of ALL formats and ALL emulsions, PRINT it, LEARN the craft, and DEDICATE themselves to it in order to have any effect on the market. I see lots of young hipsters with 35s and Dianas who know not shit about what they are doing or how they are doing it. One in twenty that I talk to actually prints or knows anything about what emulsions are available and how they differ. It is a sick and vapid idea they have that shooting on film will make their photos better without any work or knowledge on their part. I'd rather see someone who has never touched film in their life, but knows what they hell they are doing with their digital camera. It would still be offensive to me, but far less so
