The availability date in the press release is for the camera. The Instax Mini monochrome film has been available since last fall, and major retailers have it in stock now. I've already shot a pack, have several more on hand.

I keep meaning to buy some of this film for my kid's two INSTAX cameras. I am keen to try this new film from Fuji.

it has greenish shadows. Not a big fan of their B&W, but I love their color instax film.
Agree with you, I was really excited when I bought the film, after the first two portraits.... everything was too dark and greenish, with no detail in the shadows at all. I thought it would be because I shot in a bar but then I tried shooting during the day and same results... I prefer the color actually.
PS: I took a look at your web eric, great material! I followed you on Flickr! :D
