Installing baffle from yashica mat 124g in older yashica 12

Is it possible to take the light baffle off a donor 124g and install it in a yashica mat 12?

I imagine you could, but it would be easier to use flocking material. It does a great job, I've flocked a bunch Yashica cameras, both 35mm and medium format.
