install flash / pc sync in a camera without one

i have an ancient graflex D that someone before me installed a flash sync
not sure if it was a Msync or Xsync the seller removed it before i got a chance to
investigate it ... but i have kind of wished ( off and on ) that it had a sync
the hole in the camera body is in the right spot i imagine but the socket / thing that
triggered the flash he removed.
any ideas how to re-install a pc / flash/x-sync to a camera with a old roller blind shutter ?
i am guessing it blasted the flash when it felt the metal bits on the shutter pass it by ..
but i don't know.
i've scoured the inter web for suggestions and found hacks to modify modernflashes to have
a delay, to other weird stuff, but i dont' really want that, just looking for a sync ...

i've a friend who will install it for me since it might be beyond my comfort zone ...

Does it have to be a PC socket or would a household two-prong type socket work?
A two-prong would be much easier to source.

This is the flash sync bit for the curtain on a Pacemaker Speed Graphic, the metal strip is part of the curtain, the two contacts are set into the body.

it dosen't need to be a pc socket but as long
as it will fire a modern flash that is what matters ..
i am sure i can dig up a paramount cord to adapt the flash ...
just trying to figure out how to adapt the camera ...
( cause i am admittedly clueless ! )

John, for electronic flash sync it's much the same but the positioning of the metal part on the shutter curtain has to be placed so the flash fires when the largest of the shutter cloth's slits is just fully open. So it would be on the edge of the open slit rather than before it opens which is what's shown shown in the diagram.

A Series ___ Graflex SLR shutter curtain does not have the metal strips found on the Pacemaker Speed Graphic.
A Super D has a set of flash sync contacts inside the wind plate. The Super D is a Series D with factory built in flash sync.
The flash sync on a Super D is available at all speeds using long burn FP flash bulbs only and Open Flash drop curtain with faster duration flash.
The "Flash Sync" is a set of contacts that are closed by the curtain gearing as the curtain is released.
3rd party flash sync contacts were made for large format SLR's that attached to the body at the wind plate and were actuated by the wind key.
A flash bulb or electronic flash for Open Flash can only be connected once the curtain is set for the exposure as winding it will actuate the flash sync contacts.
No modification can be made to a Graflex SLR to get it to sync with an electronic flash other than open flash at O. A curtain opening takes 30 milliseconds to 45 milliseconds to travel from the top of the film plane to the bottom of the film plane in landscape orientation. A full power discharge on some electronic flash is 10 milliseconds in duration or faster.
