inkjet printing on tyvek envelopes

Is there a mid range inkjet (e.g. epson 3880) that will can print on tyvek and provide a good image that is waterfast/semi durable?

I've printed on similar materials with my epson 2200, I had to reduce the ink coverage by 20% or so and set it for more drying time to get rid of the tracking.
Tyvek is pretty coarse material, what are you printing?

9x12 and larger envelopes that contain product samples. I want the envelopes to, best as possible, survive the journey.
