Inherited 5x7 hard rubber trays...

I forgot I had these 5x7 hard rubber trays, Ace brand, inherited when a friend gave me a box of photo stuff.

As I am about to print, small at first, any reason not to use them?
They have recessed grooves, instead of raised ridges, and seem to need at least 350 ml of solution.
I do like the vintage feel...

I have 8x10 classic trays as well, may just be more comfortable, and better at washing?

I have a set of 5X7 trays, never use for prints, I on occasion use for 4X5, well not in years other than last step when using Photo Flow (?) before hanging to dry. I guess If was going to print 4X5 I would use them. When I print 5X7 I use 8X10 trays, 8X10 in 11X14, and 11X14 and larger I use paper drums.

Rubber trays are quite heavy.
I'm not sure how impervious they are to the chemicals we use, or whether they might have a tendency to absorb chemicals.

I did check them for leaks, half-full on kitchen counter.

A vintage ad for them reads: "lifetime service" and "chemical-resistant properties":

Maybe the ad copy writer was in a good mood that day..?
