I have some BW Kodak HIE infrared I bought a while ago and froze it. The thing I am worried about is that it is dated 12/2004. I forgot all about it. Will it still be any good?

It is Kodak HIE film.

Thanks,

Kev

Dave, I like that idea! Send some rolls my way, too, Kev

But seriously, it should probably be OK, especially since it's been frozen. The only sure way to find out is to test a roll, as HIE can be a bit unpredictable at times. Just remember to handle the film in complete darkness from the time that you open the box to the time that it comes out of the fixer, as it is VERY easy to fog.

I hope it works, that stuff is great!!

Keith do you have any samples of the Rollei images online?

Thanks for the replies everyone! I am planning on using it this weekend or early next week.

Keith got me interested in this film in 4x5, and I got some great pointers from Robert Hall. With the rm72 (aka 89b) filter I've gotten good results rating it at ISO 3.
