Info for Polypan lovers

Hi,

right now there are 90m rolls on ebay as well - usually there are only 152m rolls.
I got one for me - 36€ for 90m is unbeatable price .

Still a good price. However I already have 2 cans of 152 meters and 1 can of 90. That should last me for a while. I am always tempted to buy more especially for that price. But I am not using it much. Yaeh I know i am weird.

I am still wondering what kind of film "polypan" really is, is it it's own brand, if so, who makes it? ^^

It's cine-film, or so I've read, and from various tests on the net, it seems like the speed is 50 and that it sucks for pushing (at least that's was the last thing I heard about the subject when I checked).
- It's very good for getting nice halo around highlights, because it's thin and lacks the Anti-aliasing layer.

Some used to claim that it was panf+-like, but it seems to have more grain (imo),
According to MDC, there are times and information on a multitude of developers now, which is good.

When I bought 90m a while back, it seemed that this film was rather "new", or new to the community.

Anyone have some real info on brand, maker, origin etc ?

Nobody knows for sure, my best guess is that is a cine film from Svema.

The good old Polypan F predate APUG and most Internet forums.

On Polypan box it is written "Made in EC" --> European community, not European Union, so it is old stuff.

Or someone mixed up designations. The EU is enigmatic to most of us anyway.

It is my favorite BW film. I put it in Rodinal for 60 minutes, semi-stand. I have 1,000 feet in my frig and I want more.

Nice! I am using the same developing technique for this film as well .
