Hi everyone,
I've been photographing the stars for several years now but recently had the idea of shooting astro from indoors. I used the star-stacking method. I'm curious if anyone knows of this being done before? Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions? I made a YouTube video on my first attempt at indoor star trails:

Thanks for any and all feedback!

I think it looks cool and could be on to something there. I'd look at staying in a hotel, or a daily rental property that overlooks interesting subjects, then shoot from an upper floor. Could look really interesting.

Wonderful, fun results. Happen to use a Pentax K70 that has built-in intervalometer and Astro setting...need to see what this does.

Nolan, a question: are you using a dslr with built-in intervalometer and Astro setting?
I am using a Sony Mirrorless with built in intervalometer. Astro settings are just 30s exposures with a relatively open aperture (f1.4-f2.8 depending on DOF needs).
