in search of light seals

Currently I am working on a Mamiya 645 plain, and I was just about to buy new light seals from camerasealkits.com but they have their ebay accounts closed!

So, do you know any other store that sells Mamiya m645 (1000s) seals?
They must send the items to Europe (Slovenia)...

jon goodman - interslice on ebay. He is in teaxas, USA. Send him a message if he does not list your camera.

He is very flexible, and the light seal kits get shipped as letter rate envelopes all over the world.

The baby seals are very light-white, in fact.
They're also very light-not nearly as heavy as adult seals.

Jon has sworn off eBay last I checked - he can be reached at JGood21967@aol.com. As I understand it he is trying to set up his own, free-standing web business.

When I need seals, I email Jon at that AOL address. I believe he has a day job, which sometimes takes up lots of his time, so be patient. He sells an excellent product with great detailed instructions, at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

There was also a guy on eBay called camerasealkitsandmore who sold them but something happened to him recently. He suddenly stopped sending out his products and didn't reply to emails.

It's not difficult to cut your own seals. I use a metal ruler and a rotary blade cutter. The foam is available from www.micro-tools.com and other sources. A few sheets in various thicknesses will make a whole lot of seals.

Micro Tools has an assorted kit of 5 sheets in various thicknesses. The kit costs about $20 and has enough material to do quite a few cameras n backs.

Just emailed Jon and placed a quick order. Great to deal with and very responsive via email.

Definitely cheaper to do the MicroTools sheets if you repair a lot of cameras, but for one-off repairs, having precut, readymade seals is a great service to pay a couple bucks for. Great to have the options.

Another source for seals is a product called "Foamies" sold in craft & art supply type stores. They make all different styles and colors of foam but their black foam sheets can be used for camera seals. These come in a couple of appropriate thicknesses and both adhesive backed and non-adhesive versions.
