No, a thread was started and then the OP decided to remove the post and wrote Deleted! Then others posted questions about what was deleted or that they wanted what was being sold or any other way to continue a string of unrelated posts. There were not insults that were thrown around. It you did not participate in it, do no make up stories.

Hehe I recall that thread but didn't really participate. Another one was the "Kodachrome has been discontinued" which I don't know what happened to, as unfortunately it held very valuable discussions involving the technical aspects of the film with PE's insights and why it could not be made in a Barn.
Back to the topic I have gotten a couple of the standard F90 cameras. My F80 was nice and light but it doesn't have the ruggedness or standard battery of the F90, as well as nice amateur bodies with a kit lens are still available with a bit of patience.

They are ergonomic (F4 do you hear me?), offer the full range of settings, fast, plenty avaible and cheap. So is the F801/N8008 and I would not toss the others of the series, down to the F401/N4004 either. In contrast the hyped F80 and F100 are flimsy and (especially the F100) expensive.
The F100 had price going for it.
But that was spoiled by speculation.
The only real technical advantage it has over the 80 and 90, is slightly better autofocus in dark situations.
That is cured with a flash with IR pilot light (you don’t need to flash, the IR works regardless).
It's been a lot of years but one I remember as the rudest, a new photographer asked what was the purpose of a 2x multiplier. Someone answered it doubles the foacal length of the lens. Response; Dont listen to that idiot, there's no such thing, folled by several paragraphs of physics laws and mathematical formulas. P.S. The new photographer said he was totally confused now.
