In camera metering systems compared?

Sorting through my Bronica RF645 negatives, I have noticed the in-camera meter errs on the side of caution, which I imagine produces good results with transparencies but needs to be corrected for negative exposure. When using the Bronica SQ system I invariably use a spot meter, and most often give more exposure compared to the RF645 internal meter. With another camera I have some experience with, the Nikon F100; using the internal meter, both centre weighted and matrix metering seem to work well for negative film.

Has anyone done a comparison of at least the medium format systems? e.g. I understand the Pentax 645N features matrix metering.

An aside [OT], I meter to exclude the sky and then the exposures are bang on with the PME on my Hasselblad.

The P645N metering is quite good. The Dual Six Segment (Matrix) metering tends to be biased slightly on the side of overexposure in overly bright or high DR scenes, however with Ektar 100 or Portra 160VC or Pro 160S neg films this is exactly what is desired. Spot metering with manual exposure are what I tend to use most with transparency film.
