With remaining stocks of Polaroid sheet film now advertised at silly prices which some desperadoes seemingly willing to pay I wondered whether Impossible integral film would work in a 545 holder.
I have a box of Polaroid sheet where the chemicals have dried rock hard. So what I did was, take the dark slide from the Impossible pack and then slide a sheet out. Then I slid open the Polaroid sleeve, and then, using a glue stick for stationery, pasted the chemical pod side and opposite edge and centered and stuck it to the film surface then closed the sleeve. Of course this was done in the dark, in my case a Harrison bag.
Using the Polaroid sheet normally to expose and then pull through the rollers to develop was partially successful. I took three shots. In all cases, the first half of the photo was OK then you get a triangular section where the chemicals have not spread.
The first two were done with a 545 and the effect was similar so I tried a 545i and I got the same but the undeveloped section was on the opposite side.
I was then able to remove the receiver sheet for the original Polaroid prints without peeling open the two halves and the next exposure produced a result where more of the photo was developed still a little on corner and some striations leading to it.
For comparison I exposed one film then transferred it to an empty Impossible pack, inserted it into my SX70 and the photo came out fine, fully developed.
First two samples attached.
