With a bit of luck there will be enough bright days over the winter so that I can continue to experiment with salt printing here at 50°N, albeit with longer exposure times... however I have read (Young) that below about 5°C the reduction reaction is extremely limited.

I've put a print out just now (out of direct sunlight but facing clear blue sky), and the temperature outside is about 3-4°C, so I'll soon see ... but I'm interested to hear if others' experience confirms or contradicts Young.

Be interesting to hear from any comments from chemists about what theory says too.
