Hi everyone Hopefully someone has been here before.....

I have a Imagon 200mm that was origonaly for a Bronica S1/EC ect (old 6x6 ones) I have converted the
mounting tube to fit my Rollei SL66, what I have works great for Portraits and closeups (Flowers or Whatever) because of the length of the Bronica tube I am unable to focus to infinity.....

What I need to know is what thread the main element is, I measured it to be about 62.5 mm, there are adapters avaliable on line (Ebay)to go from SL66 to 65mm the seller also has a adapter to go from 62.5 mm 65 mm. I have as set of extension tubes for the Rollei so with the cameras bellows I will be able to focus to infinity.

will this work

I don't have the 200mm Imagon, let alone the Bronica specific version, but I do have the 120mm version that has been hacked for a Hasselblad.

However....

The standard 200mm Imagon came in a Copal #3 shutter, which has a M58x0.75 thread. Maybe check to see if a 58mm filter will fit the threads, if not, then the Bronica version was different.

Thanks for the input.

This version in a 62.5 mm screw mount, I have nothing that is this size the other way to go is to cut a hole in a blank mounting plate and press fit it in, I did this once with a 135mm El-nikkor lens onto a durst plate with a small amount of DEVCON, this would work but it would no way to reverse it and I like the Bronica tube for Macro Work.

I have a 200mm Imagon in the original Rollei SL66 mount which I could measure in a few days if that's any help. If it looks like your 62.5mm maybe there's a Rollei mount for sale somewhere?

Thanks John

If you could post a Photo of it that would help me Decide what direction to go, I have never seen the Rollei SL66 for sale I Bought this one and converted the mount as it was complete (all the bits were there even all the Boxes) and the price was right.

Attached photos of the SL66 mount for Imagon 200. The thread on the base of the Imagon is 62mm threaded very fine. The distance from the mounting face of the Imagon to the mounting face of the SL66 is, as you can see in one of the pics, about 111.3mm. It focuses on infinity. I'm afraid I haven't ever seen the mount for sale without the Imagon itself, but there are various attachments around, like extension tubes and lens mounts that mate with the camera body. The other end is perhaps only available if you get one of the firms that do this sort of thing to fabricate something. I had something machined by SRB and SKGrimes also do this sort of thing. Let us know how it goes. DSC_1007a.jpg DSC_1008a.jpg DSC_1009a.jpg

The Copal #3 has a mounting thread of M62x0.75. It would make sense that the optical block was interchangeable with the Copal shutter mounted unit.

Yes, I remember I had been given a thread gauge and can confirm that it's 0.75mm pitch. Furthermore, it's the same thread as a standard 62mm screw-in filter (I just checked with a standard filter) so that gets you a lot closer to rigging up something.

I once saw an SL66 lens mount made out of a plastic body cap (for a large format lens).

Thankyou everyone for your help, I have worked out a workaround until, find something better. I have a Sl-66 Extension tube, and a Mamya 645 lense back cap that fits in the tube very tightly, I will cut a hole in the plastic cap and use a 62mm filter ring as a Jam Nut, I will post Pics once it is made up.

Regards

I made up the lens tube !!!

I cut out the center of the back cap and filed and sanded it to the point where the lens pressed in and does not fall out, I then glued the cap into the tube with
Metal Weld Epoxy, once dried (12 hours) I pushed in the lens and We have a mount that focuses to infinity, I also have another tube with a bayonet at both ends so I can close Focus. The fit is tight enough that the lens will not fall out so a jam nut was not required.

It turned out to be a lot easier than I thought it would be to make,

Excellent. I have a collection of Imagons myself. I use them on my view cameras and Plaubel Makiflexes.

Great when a fabrication plan comes together  Well done.
