I have a Nikon 9000 scanner, which has worked fine in the past. I use Silverfast for this scanner, and was scanning a b/w negative, got a nice prescan, then went to scan, the indicator said it was scanning, and then nothing would happen. I use Silverfast as a plug in for CS4, and I could not get anything to move. No image, the header for CS4 was there, but nothing would pull down from the header the computer froze up so to speak. I had to push the power button. Anybody have any ideas about this?
Thanks

Did you try the stand alone version of SilverFast? I stopped using the plugin version back with with cs2 for the same reasons. Give it a try.

I posted a similar problem the other day . I contacted SilverFast. They replied promptly requesting log files which I sent. I have not heard back yet. If I get a remedy I will post it.

I received a reply from SilverFast: they recommend uninstalling SF and downloading the current update and installing that. I have not tried that yet -- I hope it works.
