I got a Zarya that I've been wanting but the shutter is dragging and slow. I'd try to disassemble it and do some cleaning but I am the Kiss of Death for cameras. I know somebody here on flickr who used to do CLA work on FSU cameras but since he can't get the shutter curtain materials because of the Ukraine/Russia conflict he's stopped working on 35mm cameras.

I've been wanting this camera for a while and I don't want to murder it attempting to fix it, so I'm looking for somebody who could do the work for me as well as a couple of other FSU rangefinders that need a good CLA. Does anybody know somebody who can do this at a decent price? It seems almost impossible to find FSU cameras that doesn't need a good CLA first, so any help would be appreciated.

Maybe it's time to switch? I've come to the point where I simply toss a camera into a large "junk" camera box when it fails because life's too short to be dealing with a camera that's not reliable. Most of the FSU cameras are inherently of that ilk.

But if you're determined, try Vermont Camera. They claim a wide range of expertise.
