I hope you guys/gals don't mind.
After so many years of shooting Digital I've just returned to film. Med Format and I couldn't be more happy. A lot of the reason for my return is frankly (hope I don' offend) digital was just looking too clean to me (both dSLR and Med Format) and since I'm on early retirement and am not a pro, I can and wanted to learn my craft.

Today I processed my first roll of Tri-X. Last week I shot it just for fun thru a Holga. Tomorrow It will be the Mamiya 1000s. Beginning in the late spring I go back to school for Film Photography.

I'm a 48 year old guy, a single guy dad thats a bit disabled, so I need this passion and it keeps me busy, but I am SO having fun with it.

Thank goodness for this site. I'm joining right away.

Sorry for the Rant.
Thanks
Tom

Just like baseball players, you can admit that you used performance enhancing tools (digital) and we'll still let you come back.

Film is just SO nice, isn't it?

With a Holga you're never 100 percent sure what you'll get but that photograph goes to show you don't need a Leica to make a great image.

Jump on in. The water's about 68 degrees.

Very nice. Doesn't look like you've been away that long.

Welcome to APUG Tom.

I have to admit that I shot digital for quite a while before settling on film as my choice for image making. You will spend many hours here filling your head with tips, tricks, and new things to try! ;-)

I have seen various threads where you have offered them to people but are these manuals available for purchase anywhere?

I'm not trying to get a free copy here (unless they are free anyway) and would happily pay for a copy.
