I'm looking for a small rangefinder

Russian

Zorki 4k/ industar 61 panda lens, no battery,no meter. Small, great lens, and so cheap you can get half a dozen. That way if one breaks, just grab another.

Regards
CW

Most people would not consider a Zorki 4 a small camera.

No, but I certainly consider my FED-2s pretty small. And the FSU Contax clones (the Kiev X series) aren't big either.

Certainly you can get some dogs with the FSU bodies, but if you just assume you're going to have it serviced before serious use they're solid as a tank. And the glass is excellent. Maybe not Leica quality, but way better than any of my work can show up.

I don't have half a dozen. But I have several. One at each place I'm often "looking for my camera" so I've always got one. They are my "go to" 135 solution now.

Yep, apparently it's functioning correctly.
If this falls through it's back to the drawing board.

A ricoh 500G would meet your needs. It's small, pretty good lens with manual and shutter priority manual. Works in manual mode without battery. Plus it looks good too!

In my Ricoh GX500; you can do double exposures

They look like nice cameras and they are on the list if the Retina is no good.
I can get it for a week to test.

I'm getting a Retina IIIc tomorrow. No working Fotometer.

Ok my friend lent me his Retina IIS for a week.
The shutter is slow to close at any speed below 1/30 second.

Does anyone know how to get to the shutter?
I've located some little screws on the lens barrel and on the focusing ring at the front.
Should I just unscrew those and see what comes up next?
