Like the title says, I left a bottle of half used Hypam fixer and an unopened ilfostop in my car for 2 days in AZ, where temperature in cars can get up to 125F. Do you think they're still usable? I don't notice any color changes in the fix but I don't have any hypo check to test. Any ideas if they're still usable?
Well if you read the HYPAM data sheet at http://ilfordphoto.com/Webfiles/201142795282272.pdf "Without the addition of a hardener it is suitable for all black and white film and paper, manual and machine processing applications in the temperature range of 18–40oC (66–104oF). " So you are not too far out of it's useable range...
Try fixing the leader of a roll of 35mm film with some freshly mixed fixer from the bottle and see if it clears in the normal time. Also check to see if there is Not any precipitate in the bottle. If so you are probably OK. The stop bath should be a nice bright yellow.
You may want to try to use it up quickly as you DID exceed the storage temperature on the data sheet. But my gut feeling is you should be OK. ATOH, If you are worried, Both products are cheaper than the film and paper they process, so you may be able to relax better if you just replace them.
Stop bath should be fine; its just acetic acid. Heat won't damage it the way it does the organic chemicals used as developing agents. Your fixer is probably ok too.
