I have used Ilfosol-S and now 3. I can say I really like the 3 better.
It's $9 per 500ml concentrate.
I use it "one-shot", 1+9. or 520ml water + 60.
When doing 4x5 daylight tank I use 1+14 and longer times so I don't have
to use as much chems. I have not tried to reuse, and thus I get two rolls of 135 or one 120 roll per batch of 600ml.
Does anyone know of a similar developer that is cheaper per 1/2 liter?
I am tempted to try some of the other concentrates such as the Arista liquid, but I hate changing something that works. Just trying to save money.
On a side note, I recall someone saying they developed the 4x5's in the paper developer? If that were true, I could just use the paper developer for both; that would save a little money.
