Ilfords 2016 ULF campaign and 122 roll film

Well done for getting the 70mm unperforated, it is still available in this years ULF campaign until tomorrow, the last day, for 2016 delivery.
I was going to order a roll but decided that it wasn't worth rolling onto my 122 backing paper due to probable edge curl issues across the 3 1/4 inch film gate, so I am slitting 5 inch Kodak SO-200 aerial film (140 micron so just OK) which has tested quite satisfactorily for 1990 film.
I will try again next years ULF campaign as it would be great to have fresh B&W film but as it is not on Ilfords list (in roll base) it is difficult to know the numbers who would potentially want to place an order.
Ideally a poll on Ilfords web site before they produce a list next year would maybe solicite enough interest/orders.
We will see.

Yea, when Simon was still on the Board at Ilford, there was a poll done (hence the urging him to add 70mm, with his reply if numbers needed) but I'm it sure who handles that now, there was 122 listed several times as an option, with a back and forth about the exact measurements (because I guess there were mixed reports about the exact width, with different people arguing different widths that were off by about 1mm or something like that) and thy finally got it down and offered but just didn't get enough pre-orders. I guess they gave up trying, sorry man.

Persistence is key, I was on Simon all the time about it and posted threads about it on APUG and LF Forum, and DPUG and I forget but another euro film forum, to make people aware and encourage people to buy at least one roll, it was like my personal campaign, lol.

So don't give up hope, just have to track stuff down, much like how I've started my Velvia50 group guys from Japan to get 4x5 and 8x10 Velvia50 to America, which is now 2 years running strong, so it's all just about sticking it out and avoiding the nay sayers.

I know it's way too late for 2016, but I would definitely be interested in 122 film for 2017, as long as it's on roll film base. Would love it on Delta 100, or PanF50 preferably, but the others are fine. I'd also go for another roll of 70mm, no perf. That stuff works great in my Ikonta D!

I know these are special order film types, but it would be beyond awesome, if some dealer would stock a tiny bit of these offerings, so we literally didn't have to wait years to get it, and minimums could be met. I have tried ordering from the ULF campaigns on previous years, and minimums were not met. Other years I was luckier, but some definitely not.

Did anyone ever ask for Delta 100 in 9.3mm, for reloading minox cassettes?

Unless I misunderstand the OP what is wanted is 122 spooled film ready to load. As discussed in at least one other thread the problem is not in obtaining the film but in getting the backing paper. There is now only one company that manufactures backing paper and they pretty much control things. They not only make the paper but do the printing for the various film manufacturers. It is they that you must convince not ilford. Stated in the previous thread was that their minimum order is for 100,000 rolls. Then there is the packaging. According to Ilford the film spool, backing paper, wrapping and box cost more than the film does. Good luck.
