Ilford WT semi-matt fiber for Bromoil?

Anyone ever use this paper for bromoil?

It may be possible to use it but the paper really does need to be one that has an un-coated surface to get the ink to take properly. I have never done Bromoil, although I have got friends who have and the only paper available which they would use was one made by Kentmere, but that was discontinued a long time ago.
Some of the Eastern European papers may be usable, I don't know.

Dorothy- Bear in mind that I'm still new at bromoil (and still struggling with the process).... I've had better success with the non WT Ilford paper, than I've had with the WT. My attempts with the WT came closest to being successful with a 7-8 minute soak, at about 75 degrees. You're far more skilled at bromoil than I, so I'm fairly certain you can get it to work. I've had the most success with the David Lewis paper. I don't know if you've tried it, but it works well, and is quite reasonably priced.

is this paper (the ilford) super-coated? the guy at the store said it wasn't. If it is, I'll use it for something else and get some that is non-supercoated if that is possible.

Dorothy- I think all commercial papers are super-coated now (except for the David Lewis), but Simon can answer your specific WT question. That being said, it is possible to bromoil super-coated papers. If you haven't tried David's paper, you may want to give it a try. It's beautiful stuff, un-super-coated, and cheaper than the Ilford WT.
