the website takes second fiddle to packing up boxes and receiving new stock.

Then why bother with a website?
I am delighted they are busy but if they have a website then it should be treated like another branch of the business.
Being too busy to do something in business is a poor excuse for bad management.

I guess to process payments.

Another guess: by not maintaining their website they loose some custom but may attract other custom because they can reduce prices by not employing someone to do the web work. Perhaps margins are tight? I don't know - I'm just guessing, I only spoke to them on the phone!

I have bought from West Yorkshire Camveras. They are top people and very honest sellers.

I am not sure how people think a witness is but I have seen a far less complete example in worse condition sell for £10k. It's a five figure camera. That's the price these days.

I have also bought several items from West Yorkshire Cameras and sold a few items to them and have found them to be honest dealers who are reasonable to deal with. I doubt if they are selling this Witness outfit on commission I don't think they do that. This company are very successful and sell a tremendous amount of analogue equipment, but I have serious doubts if they will shift this outfit in a hurry in the middle of pandemic, and a financial recession how many people will have so much money as disposable income ?.
