Quite an interesting video on two large community darkrooms in New York. What came across to me was that those who used these darkrooms stayed with them and there was good knowledge transfer via social interaction. My impression was of relaxed harmony and learning

Anyway here it is for anyone interested

I watched it earlier today. The thing that stood out to me was the fact that members of these darkrooms have 24/7 access.

When I started getting into film photography several years ago I joined a community darkroom in San Francisco. But it had limited hours and was often closed during the holidays, which was when I would have had the time to use it. Access 24/7 would have been terrific.

Wow..... 24-7 access.!
If i won the lottery i would Definitely move to NYC.

I would even settle for San Francisco, from where i came.
When i moved out in 2001, it never occurred to us that we would never be able to afford to move back again.
