ILFORD Photo 2015 ULF Run / FINAL REMINDER

Got my FP4 9cm x 50 roll, disappointed I didn't notice it was on a sheet film base. Impossible to strip to a smaller size and rolling it is problematic. Like rolling a big spring. I wish they'd have use a roll film base like the 70mm and 46mm bulk rolls. Frustrating.

A 50 foot roll of 70 mm unperforated hp5 arrived this week. Now I have to get the Monitor camera fixed. I have some 116/616 spools and paper to get started with. The film goes onto Patterson reels easily. I made a vid abt that on my tube channel. Studiocarter1 then Michael Carter not the other way round.

GregW - Oh no, I'd ordered that too, and have yet to receive it. I thought it was on roll film base as well. ugh....for the use I was planning for it, I could have just cut down 4x5 sheets, and not waited. That's disappointing, indeed.

Hired goon, I've managed to make a trio of rolls so far but it is really really difficult to roll. My hands ached afterwards. I made a slitter that seems to work ok tho it takes a lot of effort to pull it through. Not sure yet if it will be scratched...Hoping i smoothed it enough. Using animator's exeter paper for backing paper. Developed one roll using seesaw method in tray of PMK which came out great btw. easypeasy. I can't figure out what the intended format they were targeting? another downside is winding it through my camera it jumps suddenly so as you approach the number in the red window it will jump past it. so had to wind past etc for next frames....
btw order the exeter paper on the phone, as their website miscalculates the shipping to be a ridiculous amount.

Badger tells me not all sizes have shipped from Ilford to them yet, so I still don't know if I'm getting my 10"x100' film, or if I'm the one big loser on the multiples-of-4 restriction...

Another month gone by and no change in the state of things. Has *anyone* gotten their 10"x100' film yet?
