Just developed a bunch of Pan F+(rated at 50 asa) in PyroCat-HD, 1:1:100. Used the recommended time found at the MDC of 15 minutes overall at 20C, 30 sec agitation during the first minute and then two inversions every two minutes until done.

The negs turned out fantastic! I was expecting Pan F to be contrasty and was pleasantly surprised at the full tone negs.

I found an old roll of Agfa APX25 that must have been shot over 15 years ago so I through that roll in with the Pan F and it came out spectacular as well. I love PyroCat!

Overall a great night in the darkroom!

15 mins for APX25 in Pyrocat? Will give this a try as I still have quite a few rolls in the fridge. I used to develop it in Rodinal, but would like to standardize on Pyrocat as my sole developer.

Looking forward to trying out this combination myself, although i have a feeling diluted xtol might be better suited to a contrast film like panf plus. Very interested in seeing your results if you don't mind posting them.

As soon as I can squeeze some time into darkroom work. I look forward to printing the negs or at least scanning them.

I can confirm that for APX-25, this recipe works great. Just developed a 35mm roll using this method and the negs look great, shot at box speed. One interesting note: when I drained the developer, it was dark green. I have never seen that before using pyrocat HD. But the negs looked great! I have a few rolls left in the freezer so this is what I will use for those when the time comes. Thank you!

I use pryo-MC and HDC for most of my apx25 120 rolls, the rest in rodinal. 15 min, agitate every 3 min. I shoot it at 16 as that gives me the best results. I love the printed results
