Ilford Multigrade 500H

hi, im new here and new to analog photography... im slowly trying to buy equipment for a darkroom and im looking around craigslist in my are and found a Ilford Multigrade 500H Enlarger with timer and power supply for 200$ and was wondering if anyone has one like this or knows anything about it, if its worth that much if its good or no? ive been looking at beselers 23cII also and dont know what is better... any help would be appriciated. thanks

That's just the head

Hi, the Ilford 500 system is actually just the head of the enlarger and was made for many, many different makes and models. Do you know what kind of enlarger is beneath it? Many people here use the Ilford 500 heads (including myself) and I am very happy with mine, especially nice for split-grade printing. But of course the enlarger it is mounted on is very important. Mine is on a Durst L1200.
