Ilford MG FB Classic Price Hike?

I ordered a 100 sheet box of 8x10 MG FB Classic paper from BH Photo a couple of months ago and paid $93.95. I see that the same box of paper is now $115. Same price at Adorama. Maybe this was well publicized and I missed it, but that's a fairly significant price hike. Had I known that was coming I'd have stocked up

Surprised you can still get that paper I thought Ilford no longer makes Multigrade IV in fiber. Isn't it now replaced by the FB classic?

Yep, I just checked Ilford double weight 8x10 is 115 in gloss. The warmtone and cooltone is about 135 . Seems reasonable. I hope Ilford is making a decent profit .

I don't begrudge Ilford a profit and I think they make a great product, I was just surprised to see a 20% price hike over a short period.

Taco Bell raised the price of their dollar cravings from 1 dollar to $1.19. So much for the dollar cheesy rice and bean burrito . Wait till real inflation kicks in. Also the British Pound Sterling has gotten pretty beat up with the Brexit mess.
The last US distributor went bankrupt. Oil is up 20 dollars a barrel since Jan 1.

The Geniuses in Washington say there's no inflation. I guess they aren't counting Cheesy Rice and Bean Burritos, DW VC paper and the new Ektachrome .

I blame Nixon for taking us off the Gold standard .
