I shot a roll of Ilford FP-4 Plus 125 speed 120 at 100. I'd like suggestion on developing time & time in the fixer in D76. I've been around different sites & forums & have seen different times, [as much as 3 min. difference]. Any suggestions from the APUG members goes to the top of the list. Thanks.

The development chart at the Ilford site (www.ilfordphoto.com/Webfiles/2006216122447.pdf) also says 11 minutes. That is probably the right starting place, when adjusted for temperature. Your technique can have a big influence on development. For instance, too much agitation will increase development, add density, and add contrast. So once you have developed and printed a few rolls, you may want to adjust the development time to match your style of doing things.

For what it's worth, I've found recommended times for this combo to be too long. Though I normally do most things in D-76 1:1, I could never get what I want with FP-4 in this soup. For this film, I find PMK Pyro to be the best.

I agree. I also find the recommended times too long in general. I believe that the great development chart is just a collection of manufacturer's recommendations (I could be wrong), but the times listed there are too long for me and my diffusion enlarger.
