POST THE CORRECT FORMULA PLEASE

This has already been listed here on Apug anyway but IT CONTAINS 4.5 gms POTASSIUM BROMIDE per litre and not 0.4 gm which was a mistake in the Photo Lab Index

I apologize. It is too late to change. There are too many errors in the literature I have so I will refrain from sharing the info in the future. The Ilford Manual of Photography is apparently in error.

And I ran a personal catalog of all the formulas contained herein and did not find ID78n the reason for posting it. Sorry all. My bad.

Chris, yet again a lot of articles have disappeared, this formula has been posted in the relevant section twice before, once I think by Tom Hoskinson who used to use the developer himself.

The "Ilford Formulae & Packed Chemicals", published 1960 and the two Ilford Manuals of Photography that I have with it in all show the formula correctly as does LFA Mason (of Ilford) in his book Photographic Processing Chemistry.

Correction, Wall's book.

And I did run a few googles and every other reference for this formula goes with Ian's 4.5 grams of Potassium Bromide.

Can we replenish ID-78? How much is the replenishment rate?

If you replenish other paper developers then this one's no different and has a good tray life covered.

However personally I don't recommend replenishing any paper developer, I use the apprpriate amount for a printing session and use fresh dev each time.
