Ilford ID-20

For Bromide Paper.
Stock Solution
Warm water (125° F or 52 °C) -----------750.0 ml
Metol-------------------------------------1.5 gm
Sodium Sulphite, anhyd -------------------25.0 gm
Hydroquinone---------------------------- 6.0 gm
Sodium Carbonate, monohydrated---------35.0 gm
Potassium Bromide------------------------ 2.0 gm
Cold Water to make 1 liter

For use, dilute 1 part of stock solution with 1 part of water. With Bromide paper, this developer gives good neutral...

This is about what you get when you throw a half teaspoon of metol, a tablespoon of sulfite, 2 teaspoons of hydroquinone, 1 1/2 tablespoons of carbonate, and a dollop of bromide into a half gallon or 2 liters of water to make the working solution. That doesn't mean it's not good
