Ilford FB Warmtone and PF130???

Greetings!

Based on recommendations, I bought PF130 developer to try with Forte Polygrade paper, and am wondering if anyone uses PF130 developer with Ilford FB Warmtone paper and likes the results? I currently use Dektol with the Ilford FB WT...

I use it with that, and sometimes a split 2-bath dev with the 130 and ilford warmtone dev last About 1 1/2 minutes in each. A quick water rinse in between.

You can use the 130 by itself of course. I think it's a bit warmer than dektol on that paper.

I use my own recipe variation of Ansco 130 with =20g Sodium Carbonate and 30cc 1% benzotriazole instead of Potassium Bromide. This cools the tone and gives it a wonderful steely look...EC

Krystyna... I've used this combo with good results, though I found I had to give the paper some extra exposure on a five filter to deepen the blacks in the print.

I disliked dektol with the Ilford WT... prints were too green! Even when toned after in selenium.

HI Suzanne! I almost missed seeing your reply here, thanks!

I knew you used Forte paper, but I didn't know which developer, good to know that the PF130 works with Ilford WT, but the green you mentioned with Dektol and Ilford WT, hmmm..., I printed my whole show last summer with this combination, and I never saw the green, I did selenium tone them with Kodak (1:9) for about a minute and a half, I've seen them go "plummy" with too much selenium, but nothing green...

WHAT??? 20g Sodium Carbonate???
I'm using your formula from another post:

For 2L stock.

1400cc Water 100° F. ( I have a Corning heated stirrer)
4.4 g Metol
100g Sodium Sulfite
22 g Hydroquinone
160 g Sodium Carbonate (anh)
22 g Glycin
30 cc 1% benzotriazole solution
cold water to 2L

Dilute 1+1 and develop 1 min. 30 sec. @70° F.

That's a BIG difference. Would you confirm once more the amount of Sodium Carbonate please.
