I'm curious to hear some feedback on Ilford's direct positive paper. I'm considering giving it a go but I would have to buy (or make) a camera that could use it (likely a lensed camera and probably not a pinhole). Due to the expense of purchasing new equipment along with the time required to learn to develop it, I'm reluctant to just throw caution to the wind and buy some. I was hoping to hear the thoughts of the members who have tried it. Are you typically happy with your results? How do you find it compares to the more traditional film->enlarger->print workflow? Does the paper reproduce fine detail well? Where the iso is so low and the development time is so short, does it require a true darkroom to develop, or will a mostly dark bathroom suffice? Do you find that the resultant 4x5 print is ultimately too small and wished you'd gone to 8x10? Youtube has only a handful of videos and Ilford's website doesn't go into deep detail about the product so I thought I'd ask here. Thanks for your insight.
