At what ISO did you expose the film, or do you plan on exposing it?
Rodinal isn't a very suitable developer if you're going to go for optimal speed. Try something like xtol instead. Or just plain d76/id11.
I'm curious to know why it's that dilution, specifically, that you want to try with Delta 3200.
I've tried Delta 3200 in Rodinal 1+50 once. Can't remember if it was at 3200 or at 1600. What I do remember is how terrible it looked: too much grain (and I love grain!), no shadow detail, blown highlights.
As Koraks mentioned, Rodinal is really not made for pushing film, but if you want to experiment, go for it.
The 1:100 dilution is generally used for stand or semi-stand development. As you can see below, Agfa did not recommend that dilution for Delta 3200.
I have the same chart, Alex and in a box with an original bottle of Rodinal bought 2005/6 I have a set of instructions. This set like chart shown above make no mention of times for 1+100 but this time omits any reference to any 1+100 times for any films
Moreover the ínstructions give different times to the chart for D3200 at both 1+25 and 1+50 so what should I or anyone make of that? Did Agfa revise its times for some films like HP5+ and is the chart from an earlier or later date to the chart I can see nothing on either the chart or the set of instructions that came with the bottle of Rodínal that indicates dates
What I can say to the OP is that when I developed a 120 HP5+ using the time in the set of instructions and tried an 8x10 print of my wife sitting on a bench by some sand dunes it was too grainy for my taste However I need to add that I had to crop the negative for the portrait of my wife so in effect the 8x10 print was the equivalent of a whole neg print that was closer to at least 11X14 and maybe 12 X16
Had it been the whole neg at 8x10 then I think the grain may have been OK as her figure would then have been a portion only rather than nearly the whole picture
I tried D3200 (at 1600 ASA) in Rodinal once - it was a gritty, detail-less nightmare. It was better in PMK but still not great. I like grain if it serves the image well, but I gave up on P3200 after a couple of tries.
I have developed Delta 3200 in a variety of soups, and for whatever reason this film needs a much more concentrated soup than its less sensitive peers. If you insist on Rodinal, go for 1:25 and see what you get. Delta 3200 is very strongly self restraining, even if you push hard and with a really active developer, you won't get blown out highlights.
