preliminary results are in....
I shot six sheets (three holders) of Delta 100 on Saturday. Each pair of negatives in a given film holder got the same exposure of the same scene. I developed half of them in Aculux-2 and the other half in my standard dev, HC-110 dil. D.
The results were quite similar in most repsects. I have no way to quantify the differences so, I'll only say that, to my eye, the films dev'd in Aulux exhibited slightly beter acutance and virtually, no grain. Those dev'd in HC-110 showed a bit better tonal gradation. Again, totally subject, non-expert opinion. Both developers, in my opinion produced quite satisfactory results. I'll post some examples below.
