I'd really like to if I could find a way to buy it. I'll try contacting CR Kennedy again.

I've always wanted to try clear Ilfochrome in camera.

This is actually an Ilford film not Ilfoclear. It is processed using P5 chemistry rather than P-30 etc. does anyone know if this film can go through P-30 or does it need to go through P5? I am awaiting to hear back from the manufacturer of the material.

CR Kennedy got back to me and say they have had zero demand for a while, and have zero stock but can order in from Ilford Switzerland and can check prices for what you want, and that chemistry has a 10-12 shipping delay because it has to come by sea.

This film is used for archiving; analogue images and digital image files are printed on this film. There even was a symposium in 2008 centered about this film. (see threads I started.)

Well CR Kennedy reckons no one at all orders Ilfochrome in Australia anymore (despite the printing services still offered on it ).

Anyway, got some info from the rep

"Ilfochrome clear film does not come in cut sheets, it is only available in a 127cm x 30m roll costing around $2600 + gst.
Ilfochrome can only be processed in it's own chemistry and the only kit available is listed here.
1153855 P30 2litre kit (DevBlFx) $135 + gst. " (when I mentioned I would only need bleach as I want to process in a lower-contrast b&w dev for pictorial usage)

Wade's World in Tweed a while back quoted me a good price on ilfochrome by comparison, and cut ilfochrome to boot, though I cant remember if it was the paper or clear film.

Hmm If CR Kennedy says no one in Australia orders Ilfochrome materials Ide love to know where they think we are! My lab is in Sydney Australia. Me and My associate Sandy Prints print Ilfochrome up to 50" wide by x4 meters. Except in very rare circumstances we always order our Ilfochrome chemical and paper stocks from them. We certainly cant get anyone else to supply us the chemistry.

I should rather say the rep rather than all of CR Kennedy

I remember in the 1960s there was a Ilford colour slide film called Ilfochrome, but I never used it, and I don't think many other people did either, so it didn't last long.

There is no "new" Ilford colour transparency film. That film is decades old.

I remember searching the web - its micrographic film, tungsten balanced and with speed below 1. It has rather low dmax for a slide and about 4 stops range. Its horribly expensive and chemistry kit is good for about 300m of 35mm film. Who'd want to try it?
