While raising the head I lost power to the low contrast side of the Ilford 500 head today, changed bulbs to no avail.

If power supply is going bad would it affect only one side at a time? Both fuses appear OK.

Anyone know where this beast can be repaired?

Thanks in advance

I lost power in a simlar fashion on mine. Turned out to be a short in the power cord (right at the terminal end). I had to resolder mine--never popped a fuse. Smell the plugs or open them up to check for a short.

Thanks for the heads up, I am assuming you are talking about the powercord from the power supply to the enlarger head.

Again thanks.

Problem solved

Seems that the copper plate which is pushed in via the "plunger" on the door was not activating both the micro switches. After disassembling the head a slight bend to the copper plate should cure the problem until the next time the plate loses just enough tension to cause the same again.

Thanks Matt for the help
