I got a hold of an Ihagee Derby and I cannot seem to find the manual for it. There are a few things that baffle me - what is with the bellow? When I open it, I press the two levers underneath the lens and extend the bellow to the point it stops shown on picture 1 (when it reaches the infinity mark on the distance plate). After that I need to press the little white plate with distance marker so the bellow could advance further. From there I can pull out the focusing knob and continue to focus to desired distance (which moves the plate with the lens on) or I can press the levers again and pull it out far away from the white plate showing the distance, as shown in picture 2 (that moves the lens on the plate itself). Considering that this is my first tampering with the bellow cameras, I really am confused. Also, the dial showing letters Z, D, M and below them I, B, T is also of unknown origin to me...

Z/T = Zeit/Time : Shutter is opened at first actuation and closed at second one

D/B = Dauer/Bulb : Shutter is opened as long as release is pressed

M/I = Moment/? : Shutter is opened for the pre-set shutter time

"I" = Instantaneous, I think.

For normal pictures, you should focus using the focus wheel with the indicator on the distance scale. You can extend the bellows further as in your second picture which is called double extension and it is for taking close-ups. For this you need to focus on a ground glass screen.

@Peltigera
So, if I understood you right, I extend the bellow to the plate and then continue to focus using the focusing wheel? If that is so, then my first shots should be OK. :smile: For the second part, you mean removing the back, replacing it with the ground glass and using it to focus that way?
