Thinking 35mm, but open to other formats, certainly!

My response would be Ilford XP2 or Kodak TMY-2. Decision might involve developing/printing options.

What say you?

Thread title tweaked

If only AGFAPAN 400 still existed, but alas, then it became Tri-X, but then the price rose a little too much, now it is Hp5+, all in 120...

FP4+ has my vote. I honestly use it 80% of the time even with other choices. It's so easy to shoot, process and is so forgiving.

TMY if the light is good
XP2 if the light is bad (midday, high contrast)

Ilford Fp4, because it's available in 135, 120 and 9x12 and is a medium speed film. My second choice is HP5 because it's a little faster and also available in those formats. The third choice is Adox CHS 100 II, but you never know when it's available and in which formats.

Ilford FP4+

TMX and Aviphot 80.
Can’t really live without extended red sensitivity or good dynamic extension.

I could live w/ just either Tri-X, FP4, Foma 100 & 400, or Delta 100

Many years ago it would have been APX-100 or Tri-X. Nowadays it's FP4+.

Like Paul above, TMY2 could get me by just fine. Actually, I shoot much more HP5+ due to cost, and probably could get by just fine with that also.
